NTRODUCTIONS please
We are very proud to announce the addition of two excellent doctors to the staff!

Dr. Karen O'Neill comes to Laguna Hills Animal Hospital with 12 years of experience treating family pets. Most recently she practiced in Irvine, so if she looks familiar, that may be the reason. Dr. O'Neill spends most of her week raising her two young children. She will be seeing patients every Saturday.

Dr. Bob Lambert moved from Santa Barbara and will be seeing patients Wednesday through Saturday. He graduated from UC Davis in 1994. His wife is a medical student at UC Irvine so they are looking forward to spending more time together.

Dr. Reichel is still on medical disability but is doing much better than previously. You will still see her with patients Saturday mornings.

Dr. Acton will continue to see patients all day on Fridays and Saturdays. He spends the rest of his time helping with the administrative duties to keep LHAH running smoothly.

Dr. Lipton (our eye specialist) continues to come down from San Francisco twice a month to help patients with sensitive eye problems.

Drs. Cruz just celebrated 15 years with LHAH.

Dr. Sultzer and his wife just had a baby girl and remains as a familiar face for all of our clients Monday through Wednesday.

QUESTION:
I have heard that there is a new flea control pill that eliminates all fleas after one dosage. Does my pet need to take it?

ANSWER:

from the doctor's desk

There is a new flea control pill called CAPSTAR. It is very safe for both dogs and cats, and works extremely well. One pill starts killing fleas within 40 minutes. All fleas are gone in as little as 4 hours.

Frontline (the spot-on skin liquid) continues to provide excellent, long-term control of adult, biting fleas. It is the cornerstone of flea & tick control.

Interceptor, Sentinel and Program (the once-a-month pills) also provide fantastic, "birth control" flea protection (cats get the 6 month injection). This keeps the house and yard free of infestation.

CAPSTAR pills provide short term "extra protection". The effects of the pill last only 1 day. If you see fleas on your pet, or you have just taken your pet into a flea-invested area, CAPSTAR provides immediate relief. After one pill you can be confident that all fleas will be gone within 4 hours. You can safely use CAPSTAR pills even if you are using other flea control products.
